Job Description:

Each of our dentists are responsible for serving a designated territory radius of up to one and a half hours from the “home base”.  We provide transportation to and from the "home base". Professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Patient Care

• Foster a welcoming, respectful, and caring environment for patients and their loved ones.

• Provide treatment to patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as older adults residing in long-term care facilities with sensitivity, professionalism, and clinical judgment

• Manage and treat medically and behaviorally complex patients with sensitivity, professionalism, and clinical judgment.

• Develop and implement treatment plans to each patient's health, circumstances, and barriers to care - meeting them "where they are" with flexible and empathetic care.

• Skilled in behavioral management techniques (e.g., desensitization, positive reinforcement, or modified communication aids).

Clinical Leadership

• Lead by example as the clinical leader of a mobile dental team, including a hygienist and dental assistants.

• Support and mentor team members to deliver compassionate, safe, and effective care while adapting appropriately to special care settings

Professional Standards

• Accurately complete and maintain detailed treatment notes and clinical documentation.

• Perform all duties with fiscal responsibility and efficient use of resources.

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality dental care that meets the standard of care in general dentistry.

A comprehensive orientation to mobile, special care dentistry is provided to team members.
