We Welcome Dr. Blaire Mirmow as Director of Research and Education
We're excited to welcome Dr. Blaire Mirmow back home to Asheville.
Dr. Mirmow will provide part-time clinical care with our western North Carolina team while leading Access Dental Care's education and research initiatives.
She completed a General Practice Residency through MAHEC in Asheville, earned a Master of Public Health from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, and recently completed a Dental Public Health Residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, New York.
Dr. Mirmow will work closely with dental, dental hygiene, and dental assisting students, North Carolina's three dental schools, residency programs, and community organizations to increase awareness of dental special care health issues. She will lead health services research that helps improve patient care and informs policy initiatives that expand access to care.
Her first publication resulting from her 2024 summer practicum with Access Dental Care was recently published in the Journal of Appalachian Health.
